Kyle Jones, Paul Haley II share lead at Utah Championship

Kyle Jones rolled in a birdie on 18 and just as they did after Friday’s action Jones and Paul Haley II are sharing the lead at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Utah Championship heading into Sunday’s final round. Both stand at 17-under par.

Jones has eaten the back nine up at Oakridge Country Club in Farmington, which is wedged between Ogden and Salt Lake City. The two-time All-American at Baylor has played the final six holes at minus-9 through the first three rounds, and he closed with three straight birdies on Saturday to get back into a tie for the lead.

Meanwhile, Haley followed up his scintillating 62 in the second round with a solid 67, although he had a number of other chances along the way that just missed. Haley, who hasn’t won on the Korn Ferry Tour since the 2012 Chile Classic, had four top-25s in 26 starts on the KFT.

Ryan Ruffels, Dawie van der Walt, Chandler Blanchet and T.J. Vogel are tied for second place at 16-under, on shot off the lead, while another pack of four sits in third at 14-under.

The event concludes on Sunday and coverage on the Golf Channel runs from 5 to 8 p.m ET.
