Ryder Cup teammate’s fun early morning fun at Hazeltine

Earlier this week it was noted that construction has yet to start at Whistling Straits for the 2020 Ryder Cup due to speculation the biennial event may be postponed. Even some of the biggest names in golf think the Ryder Cup shouldn’t be played if fans aren’t able to attend due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On Thursday the Ryder Cup was once again in the news, but this time on a much more comical – and frankly more adult – note.

The @RyderCupEurope Twitter account shared a “Ryder Cup Confidential” video featuring Martin Kaymer, who had a funny story about one being woken up by a teammate one particular morning at the 2016 event at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota.

While Team Europe was having fun in the bedrooms, the Americans had fun on the course, never trailing en route to a 17-11 win for Team USA’s first Ryder Cup victory since Valhalla in 2008.
